Educational Qualification Details
Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA)
- Candidate shall have to pass the examination in elementary knowledge Veterinary Science (One Year Training Course) from the recognized “School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry” established by the Govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar and having passed HSSLC (Sc.) Examination with Biology as a subject as the basic qualification.
Age Limit
Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA)
Minimum Age of the Candidate: 18 Years
Maximum Age of the Candidate: 40 Years
A Candidate should not be less than 18 years as on 01/01/2022 and more than 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025 as per Govt. Office Memorandum No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2nd September, 2020.
However, relaxation in upper age limit for categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD etc. as per Govt. of India guidelines is applicable.

- Written Examination
- Objective-type questions covering General Knowledge, Veterinary Science, Biology, and Logical Reasoning.
- Time Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 100
- Interview
- Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview.
- Weightage: 25 marks

- Candidates must provide original documents for verification before final selection.
