The Officer Grade ‘A’ cadre forms the backbone of its regulatory, developmental and advisory functions—ranging from policy drafting and market surveillance to technological innovation and legal compliance. PFRDA Assistant Manager Recruitment 2025 – Educational Qualification Details

Candidates must ensure that they possess the required qualifications on or before 31 July 2025. Detailed stream-wise qualifications are as follows:

General Stream

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized university OR
• Membership of professional bodies such as:
  • ACA/FCA – Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
  • ACMA/FCMA – Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI)
  • ACS/FCS – Associate/Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
  • CFA – Chartered Financial Analyst from CFA Institute, USA

Note: A Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in any discipline (minimum 2-year duration) from a recognized institute/university is also considered equivalent to a Master’s degree for General stream, subject to government equivalency recognition.

Finance and Accounts Stream

Required Qualification:

• Graduation (Bachelor’s degree) in any discipline from a recognized university AND
  • Must possess at least one of the following professional qualifications:
    • ACA/FCA (ICAI)
    • ACMA/FCMA (ICMAI)
    • ACS/FCS (ICSI)
    • CFA (CFA Institute, USA)

This stream is specifically intended for professionally qualified accountants or finance professionals.

Information Technology (IT) Stream

Preferred specialization in: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)

Required Qualifications (any one of the following):

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, IT, or Computer Science)
2. Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA)
3. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline + Post Graduate qualification (minimum 2-year full-time) in:
   • Computers
   • Information Technology
4. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or MCA with specialization in AI/ML
5. B.Sc. degree with specialization in AI/ML
6. Bachelor’s in any discipline + PG qualification in Computers/IT with AI/ML specialization

Note: This stream emphasizes knowledge in modern technologies like AI, ML, data analytics, and software engineering.

Research (Economics) Stream

Required Qualification:

• Master’s Degree in any of the following:

PFRDA Assistant Manager Recruitment 2025 – Selection Process

A three‑phase selection ensures a meritocratic intake:

1. Phase I (Online Screening):
   • Paper 1: English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (100 marks; 80 Qs; 60 mins)
   • Paper 2: Stream‑specific MCQs (100 marks; 50 Qs; 40 mins)
   • Negative Marking: –0.25 per wrong answer
2. Phase II (Mains):
   • Paper 1 (Descriptive English): Essay, précis, comprehension (100 marks; 60 mins)
   • Paper 2: Stream‑specific MCQs (100 marks; 50 Qs; 40 mins)
   • Weightage: 1/3 for Paper 1; 2/3 for Paper 2
3. Phase III (Interview):
   • Weightage: 15% (Interview) + 85% (Phase II)
