Educational Qualification Details
Generalist Officers:
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Minimum Marks: You must have at least 60% marks in your degree examination.
- Relaxation: If you belong to the SC or ST category, the requirement is 55% marks.
For Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers:
- Master’s in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject (or medium of exam) at the degree level.
- OR Master’s in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject (or medium of exam) at the degree level.
- OR Master’s in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with Hindi medium and English as a subject at the degree level.
- OR Master’s in any subject (other than Hindi/English) with English medium and Hindi as a subject at the degree level.
Age Limit
The age criteria are straightforward and must be met as of 30 November 2025.

Selection Process
The selection involves three stages. You must qualify in each stage to proceed to the next.
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Objective online test. Screening nature only.
- Phase-II: Main Examination: Objective and Descriptive online test. Marks here count towards the final selection.
- Phase-III: Interview: Conducted for candidates shortlisted from the Mains.

Can I apply for both Generalist and Hindi Officer posts?
No. You should apply for only ONE discipline. If you submit multiple applications, only the latest valid one will be retained, and fees for the others will be forfeited
Is the descriptive test counted for the final merit list?
No. For Generalists, the Descriptive Test is qualifying in nature and marks are not counted for final selection. However, you must pass it to be shortlisted for the interview
