Salary – Indian Railway Technician Recruitment
- Technician Grade-I Signal (Level 5): ₹29,200 (Basic Pay) + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances
- Technician Grade-III (Level 2): ₹19,900 (Basic Pay) + DA + HRA + TA + Other Allowances
Exam Pattern – Indian Railway Technician Recruitment
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Questions: Objective type, multiple choice
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd for each wrong answer
- Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME)
Final selection is made after document verification and candidates passing the medical test as per the prescribed standards.
Educational Qualification Details – Indian Railway Technician Recruitment
Technician Grade-I Signal (Level 5): B.Sc. in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation or Diploma in Engineering.
Technician Grade-III (Level 2): Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI/Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades from recognized institutions.

Technician Grade-I signal Posts
Minimum Age of the Candidate: 18 Years
Maximum Age of the Candidate: 33 Years
Technician Grade-III Posts
Minimum Age of the Candidate: 18 Years
Maximum Age of the Candidate: 30 Years
However, relaxation in upper age limit for categories like SC/ST/OBC/PWBD etc. as per Govt. of India guidelines is applicable.
