A total of 750 apprenticeship posts are available across different states and union territories in India. The apprentices will not be considered permanent employees of IOB, but will receive structured training in banking operations, customer service, and branch activities. The engagement process involves an online exam, a local language proficiency test, and document verification.

Educational Qualification Details
- Apprentice
- Applicants must have:
- A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university (Government of India approved).
- For those registered under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), the graduation results must have been declared between 1 April 2021 and 1 August 2025.
Age Limit
General as on 01.08.2025
- Minimum Age : – 20 Years
- Maximum Age : – 28 Years

- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Selection Process
- Online Written Examination – Conducted remotely using a device with a camera.
- Qualifying candidates will proceed to the next round.
- Test of Local Language – Candidates must show reading, writing, speaking, and understanding skills in a state’s local language.
- Document Verification/Personal Interaction – Checking original certificates, eligibility proof, and identity.

- Computer Knowledge: MS Office, basic IT terms, internet security, banking software basics
