EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

For Trades like Carpenter, Plumber, Painter, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholsterer:

• Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board.
• 2-year ITI certificate in relevant trade OR
• 1-year Vocational Training with 1-year relevant work experience.

For Trades like Cobbler, Tailor, Washer Man, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji:

• Matriculation pass.
• Must be proficient in the trade.
• Must qualify the trade test.

For Trades like Cook, Water Carrier, Waiter:

• Matriculation pass.
• NSQF Level-1 certification in Food Production/Kitchen from NSDC-recognized institutions.

AGE LIMIT

The Candidates need to meet age limit as given below

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years

Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Other categories: As per Govt norms

SALARY

Those candidates who was selected, will receive a salary under Pay Level 3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) of the 7th CPC

• Mode: OMR or CBT (online)

SELECTION

The selection process under BSF recruitment notification:

Physical Standards Test (PST)

Male:

• Height: 165 cm (General), 162.5 cm (Relaxed)
• Chest: 75-80 cm (expanded)

Female:

• Height: 155 cm (General), 148–152 cm (Relaxed)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Male: 5 km run in 24 minutes
• Female: 1.6 km run in 8 minutes 30 seconds

PET is qualifying in nature and does not carry marks
