UCO Bank, one of India’s leading public sector banks headquartered in Kolkata, has announced the Apprentice Recruitment for FY 2025–26 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This program offers a great opportunity for young graduates to gain hands-on experience in the banking sector. A total of 532 apprentice positions have been announced across various states and Union Territories.

Stipend
During the apprenticeship period of one year, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000.
The payment structure is as follows:
- ₹10,500 paid directly by UCO Bank
- ₹4,500 credited by the Government of India through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system
Educational Qualification Details
- Apprentice
- To be eligible for the UCO Bank Apprenticeship 2025 program, a candidate must:
- Hold a Graduation degree from a recognized university or institution approved by the Government of India.
- Have completed their degree on or after 1 April 2021.
- Possess valid mark sheets and degree certificates at the time of applying
Age Limit
General as on 01.10.2025
- Minimum Age : – 20 Years
- Maximum Age : – 28 Years
- That means the candidate should be born between 2 October 1997 and 1 October 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Age relaxation as per govt guidelines
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Selection Process
The selection process involves three key stages:
Qualifying candidates will proceed to the next round.
- Online Written Test: Conducted by BFSI SSC on 9 November 2025.
- Language Proficiency Test: Candidates must show proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding) in one of the local languages of the state they apply for. Those who studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard are exempted.
- Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Final shortlisted candidates will undergo verification and medical examination before final engagement.

- Banking terms, RBI policies, financial institutions, Indian economy, budget, current affairs, and government schemes.
- General English:

- Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude:
- Puzzles, seating arrangement, coding-decoding, syllogism, input-output, basic computer knowledge, MS Office, and digital banking.
- Quantitative Aptitude:
- Simplification, data interpretation, percentages, ratio, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, and time-speed-distance.
